FXB630 Flange Facing and Grooving Machine SETTING UP THE EQUIPMENT The following instructions are for installing the flange facing and grooving machine in position prior to operating the equipment. It is assumed that an appropriate air supply is available for connection to the machine (1.8m3/min, 6 bar, 64 cfm, 87 psi).

If the machine is to set up in the vertical or inverted position follow the set up procedure but extreme care must be taken due to the greater risk of the machine falling off the flange during the setting and adjusting procedure.
FXB630 Flange Facing and Grooving Machine 5.2.3 Installing the FXB630 assembly WARNING: THE MACHINE WEIGHS 62KG. MECHANICAL LIFTING IS REQUIRED TO LIFT THE MACHINE. WHEN SETTING UP THE MACHINE ON A VERTICAL FLANGE THE LIFTING CHAIN SHOULD BE LEFT ON UNTIL THE MACHINE IS FULLY SECURED. CARE MUST BE TAKEN TO ENSURE THAT THE LIFTING CHAIN DOES NOT OBSTRUCT THE ROTATION OF THE MACHINE DURING THE INSTALLATION There are two positions for mounting the eye bolt when lifting the machine.

Slacken the two hex nuts and socket head cap screws on the surfacing arm clamping plate and remove the surfacing arm by rolling it out of the dovetails. 2.
