5. Plug into a 120V AC wall outlet. The display will show the actual water temperature. The Kettle is now in standby mode. NOTE: If no selection has been made in 5 minutes, the display will shut off and the Kettle will enter Sleep Mode. Press any button once to “Wake up” the Kettle. NOTE: Never plug kettle into an electrical outlet when the kettle is empty. 6. Direct kettle spout away from cabinets, walls, etc. to prevent possible steam damage. 7. The default temperature is 100°C (212°F). The variable temperature range is 40 to 100°C (105 - 212°F) in 10 degree Celsius increments. 8. To boil water: - Press the power button once.The kettle will beep.

11.The Lid should not be opened when the Kettle is hot. 12.Only grip the Kettle by the Handle as all other surfaces will be hot. 13.Return the Kettle to the Base or a heat resistant surface after use. 14.IMPORTANT: If the Kettle is accidently switched on when empty, the thermostat will automatically cycle on and off to prevent the Kettle from overheating. If this situation occurs unplug the Kettle immediately and allow the Kettle to cool before refilling. 15.It is recommended that the Power Cord be disconnected from the wall outlet when not in use. 16.DO NOT attempt to connect any other appliance to the Power Base or tamper with the connector in any way. KEEP WARM FUNCTION 1. Hold the Power Button for 2 seconds and the keep warm symbol will appear on the display. Then turn the knob until you reach one of the 7 desired ‘keep warm’ temperature settings between 40 - 90°C (104 – 194°F). The power indicator light on the knob will illuminate red to indicate the kettle is actively heating.
