- Page 4 To turn the kettle off before the boiling cycle is complete, lift the On/Off Switch to the OFF (‘O’) position. 7. The Lid should not be opened when the Kettle is hot. 8. If you want to use the Kettle again, allow the thermal safety switch to cool down for 15 to 20 seconds then depress the On/Off Switch to the ON (‘I’) position. If the On/Off Switch does not remain in the ON (‘I’) position, the water is hot enough to use without reheating.
