If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way or use an adaptor. -

7. Depress the clear On/Off Switch below the handle and the red indicator light will light up to indicate that the kettle is in the boil cycle. Once the water has boiled, the On/Off Switch will move to the OFF (‘O’) position and the light will go out. IMPORTANT: When the kettle is filled to the MAX line do not pour the water at more than a 90° angle. a) The kettle shuts off automatically after the boiling cycle is complete. b) If the kettle is removed from the base before the boiling cycle is complete the switch will move to the OFF (‘O’) position. - Page 5 inside the kettle must be removed. Follow either of the 2 methods below: A) Boil equal parts of white vinegar and water 250 mL (1 cup) of vinegar and 500 mL (2 cups) of water. Once the mixture has boiled, allow it to stand overnight. Empty out mixture and fill kettle to the MAX level with fresh water. Bring water to a boil and discard. B) For heavy scale build-up, use a scale/lime remover and follow its manufacturer’s instructions.
