1. As the dry batteries are not inserted into the battery holder during shipment, the built-in
secondary battery has been discharged spontaneously when the Chronometer is used for the
first time after purchased. It takes approximately 10 days after the new dry batteries are
inserted for the secondary battery to be charged fully to store approximately 40 hours of
backup energy as specified.
2. If the exhausted dry batteries are left inside the Chronometer for a long time, the battery
leakage may occur. When the pointer of the battery life indicator points to the red zone by
pressing "BATT.-CHECK" switch, replace the batteries with new ones as soon as possible.
While the dry batteries have run down or taken out for replacement procedure, the
Chronometer can operate normally for approximately 40 hours on the built-in secondary
battery.
3. When replacing the dry batteries, ensure that the (+) and (-) terminals of the batteries are
correctly inserted.
4. When you decide not to use the Chronometer for a long time, remove the dry batteries to
prevent battery leakage
5. When the dry batteries are not inserted into the battery holder, the pointer of the battery life
