VI. ELECTRIC CIRCUITRY (REFERENCE:ELECTRICAL SCHEMATIC PG VI-6)
A. STARTING DIESEL ENGINE
The BATTERIES (EB1, EB2) provides 24-volt current to start the diesel engine. With the
MAIN POWER switch ON (the vibrator switch REV-FOR on the remote control pendant
should be in the OFF position) and hold the SHUTDOWN RESET button in, turning the
ENGINE START SWITCH to START energizes the START RELAY which energizes the
STARTER MOTOR and turns over the diesel engine. If fuel is available, the diesel engine
will start. The HOUR METER indicates engine operating hours. A TACHOMETER indicates
engine speed.
B. STOPPING DIESEL ENGINE
Turning the ENGINE START switch to OFF de-energizes the switched power to the ECM
which shuts off the fuel supply to the diesel engine. The engine stops.
