UPV75 Service Procedure V – Replacement Wire Harness Installation
External Wire Harness Installation
1. Remove the blower assembly from the heater according to the steps outlined in Blower
Removal, page 21.
2. On the back of the blower assembly, using a ¾" bit, drill a hole through exterior molded wall.
Be very careful not to drill through the interior molded wall. Drilling through the interior molded
wall will require the blower to be replaced (below).

3. Clean any debris from the jacket and jacket head of the water heater.
4. Insert the external wire harness through the drilled hole.
5. Plug the wire harness into the molex connector inside the blower assembly housing. Ensure
the connection is clean and seated properly (below).
