4-3-2. Projective Resolving Power Check
Equipment and Tools
• Lens adjustment program (BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe)
• B-L Control Box (Supplied with D-sub 15-pin cable)
• AC cable (Sold on the market)
• RS-232C Cable (D-sub 9-pin (Male with securing screws), D-sub 9-pin (Female with securing screws)) Straight type (Sold on the market)
• USB to serial cable (D-sub 9-pin (Male)) (Sold on the market)
• Lens Test Projector and Variable Transformer (Output voltage: AC 100 V)
• Screen (Art paper)
• Tape measure
• Plane mirror (For SLRs)
• Personal Computer
Note: Personal computer must have the condition that Windows Vista/7 runs normally and USB is connectable.
Setting of Lens Test Projector
1. Connect the B-L Control Box with the personal computer and the Lens Test Projector.
2. Attach the checking lens to the Lens Test Projector, and set the equipment as shown in the figure below.
3. Turn the fan switch of the Lens Test Projector to ON.
4. Turn the lamp switch of the Lens Test Projector to ON.
5. To set the lens surface and the screen in parallel, align the plane mirror with the center projected image on the screen and adjust the lens projector
position so that the reflected light illuminates the checking lens.

Preparations of BLG-TestProgram
1. Connect equipment as shown below.
D-sub 15-pin cable
(Connect to lens mount block)
B-L Control Box
D-sub 9-pin: Male
AC Cable
RS-232C Cable
D-sub 9-pin: Female
USB to Serial Cable
2. Download the file "BLG-TestProgramV[][][].zip", save and extract it.
3. Save "BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe" in an any folder.
Note: The version of "BLG-TestProgram" may be updated without notice.

Method for Starting and Finishing the BLG-TestProgram
Starting Method:
1. Mount the checking lens to the lens mount block.
2. Connect the D-sub 15-pin cable to the lens mount block, and turn on the B-L Control Box.
3. Start "BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe".
4. Click [Open] to connect communication with the B-L Control Box.
Note: When the B-L Control Box or personal computer to be used is started for the first time, a password must be entered.
When the password input window opens, ask HQ about password. In this case, the ID shown in "COM / USER Characteristic Number" must be informed
("YdDGAAHTJ" in the example above).
Since this ID number is unique to the B-L Control Box and personal computer, if a password is used for another B-L Control Box or personal computer,
another password is necessary.
Finishing Method:
1. Click [Power] to turn off the power to the lens.
2. Confirm that the two LEDs on the B-L Control Box are not lit.
3. Click [Close] to disconnect communication between personal computer and B-L Control Box.
4. Click [Finish] to exit the program.
5. Turn the lamp switch of the Lens Test Projector to OFF.
6. When the Lens Test Projector is cooled down after several minutes, turn the fan switch of the Lens Test Projector to OFF.
Checking Method
1. Start the lens adjustment program "BLG-TestProgramV[][][].exe".
