  • Page 5 Verify voltage, power and frequency compatibility between HPS/T range and electrical specification of equipment under test (EUT). Electrical components of the system must be suitable for the rated voltage and current of HPS/T model The electrical components, which by construction cannot support external influences (of the generator in all its range), can only be used on condition that adequate additional protection has been provided with automatic disconnection protection.

    The load that HPS/T is able to drive can vary from the pure capacity to the pure inductance not only, but also up to non-symmetrical current loads, as for instance a single half wave rectifier.

  • Page 11: Output Frequency

    It is monitored both the set voltage and the set frequency and the output voltage is read with a precision of 0.6%. The user is also warned in case of over current obtainable by the HPS/T, or in case of high loss in the wires, that should not exceed 5% of the set voltage.

    In case of bad working the test stops and the machine indicates on the control panel the type of alarm checked (see at the voice alarms). When the test ends HPS/T is set to 0 Volt in the range 300 Volt, 50 Hertz and regulation on the output terminals (2 wires).

    ENTER. 3.2. RANGE SETTING The HPS/T range buttons allows to make use of the full output power at different voltages. There are two different ranges: 300 Volt and 150 Volt. 02/02/22...

    15 seconds the output is switched on again and the Volts display visualizes zero voltage (0.0); since that moment HPS/T is ready to receive on the new range. 3.3.

    0.01%, the second one is the line of loading frequency. At turn on HPS/T is connected to the inner reference and this state is signalled by the led corresponding to the button INT at the voice FREQ. REF.

    2 wires at the voice SENSE. Notice that HPS/T corrects falls in voltage on the connections until 5% of the set-up voltage to avoid possible overheating of the line; after exceeding this limit HPS/T doesn’t guarantee that the value of the output voltage is equal to the set-up voltage and an error signal appears (see at voltage alarms).

    Using the "Inrush" switch you can select the operation of the machine, in particular you can change the current limits as shown in the tables. When the LED on the switch INRUSH is lit, the machine is on Inrush mode and the HPS/T can gives three times the rated current.

    3.6.2. System alarms In case of high temperature on the inside of HPS/T (more than 70°C) this one stop and the led TMAX is lit; In this case the HPS/T can be unblocked by means of the button HARDWARE RESET or switching off and switching on the machine.

    7.2. ALARMS DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIRS If one or more alarms are shown, the user must not try to repair the HPS/T by himself. Please contact ELETTROTEST S.P.A service. If the problem doesn’t solve even with the service support, the machine needs to return to the supplier (with or without guarantee).

    HPS/T è inoltre in grado di compensare eventuali cadute di tensione sui cavi di uscita, assicurando così sul carico l'esatta tensione desiderata. Il carico che HPS/T è in grado di pilotare può variare dalla pura capacità alla pura induttanza, ma anche fino a carichi di corrente non simmetrici, come ad esempio un singolo raddrizzatore a semionda.

    1.1.2 Frequenza d’uscita HPS/T permette la regolazione della frequenza di uscita da 50 a 80Hz alla massima tensione. Tale frequenza di uscita può essere regolata con continuità all'interno del suddetto range di frequenze ed ha una stabilità dello 0,01% rispetto alla frequenza impostata.

    In caso di cattivo funzionamento il test si interrompe e la macchina segnala sul pannello di controllo il tipo di allarme verificato (vedi alla voce allarmi). Al termine del test HPS/T è impostato a 0 Volt nel range 300 Volt, 50 Hertz e regolazione sui terminali di uscita (2 fili).

    ENTER. 3.4. IMPOSTAZIONE RANGE I pulsanti RANGE VOLT del HPS/T consentono di sfruttare tutta la potenza in uscita a diverse tensioni. Ci sono due diversi Range: 300 Volt e 150 Volt.

    Al cambio di range, il display che mostra la tensione impostata si spegne e la tensione di uscita scende lentamente fino a zero, quindi viene tolta l'alimentazione in uscita; dopo circa 15 secondi l'uscita si riaccende e il display Volt visualizza la tensione zero (0.0); da quel momento HPS/T è pronto a ricevere sulla nuova gamma.

    UP e DOWN (freccia su e giù) e tramite la tastiera numerica di programmazione. Per impostare la frequenza tramite la tastiera numerica di programmazione si può procedere allo stesso modo la tensione premendo il tasto HERTZ al posto del tasto VOLT indicando così ad HPS/T che si vuole programmare la frequenza.

    HPS/T si collega alla media frequenza della rete (con un periodo di integrazione pari a circa 30 secondi) per eliminare probabili interruzioni della tensione di linea o impulsi spuri disposti sulla stessa linea.     Tramite l'interruttore "Inrush" è possibile selezionare il funzionamento della macchina, in particolare è possibile modificare i limiti di corrente come indicato nelle tabelle. Quando il LED sull'interruttore INRUSH è acceso, la macchina è in modalità Inrush e l'HPS/T può erogare tre volte la corrente nominale.

    Se la tensione di rete è troppo bassa, l’HPS/T si ferma e si accende il led UNDERVOLTAGE.
