Installing Memory

Static electricity can damage electronic components.
Turn all equipment OFF. Don't let your clothes touch the accessory.
To equalize the static electricity, rest the accessory bag on top of the PC
while you are removing the accessory from the bag. Handle the
accessory as little as possible and with care.

Installing Main Memory

Your PC is supplied with main memory. If you need more main memory
to run your application software, you can install up to a total of
768 MB (three 256 MB modules).
Main memory is available in modules of 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB, or
256 MB. There are three memory "banks". Each bank can
accommodate a memory module.
Bank
Outside
Any 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB, or 256 MB 100 MHz SDRAM module
(closest to edge)
Usually comes preloaded with a 32 MB or a 64 MB module
Middle
Any 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB, or 256 MB 100 MHz SDRAM module
Inside
Any 32 MB, 64 MB, 128 MB, or 256 MB 100 MHz SDRAM module
Memory must be installed first in the outside bank, then in the middle
bank, and lastly in the inside bank.
