    “1000 HOURS CONTROL” TEST The Jaeger-LeCoultre Manufacture pays close attention to the quality and to the final checks of its watches. The 1000 Hours Control is a series of in- ternal qualification tests for each of the models in our collection, as well as inter- nal tests on the production of your watch, which go beyond official timing tests.

    STARTING AND WINDING Crown B in position 0. The watch is wound by turning the crown clockwise. A few clockwise turns of the crown are enough to start your watch. It will then automatically wind up when you wear it. Please note that the crown does not lock when winding, even when the watch is fully wound.
  • Page 10 SETTING THE HOUR AND MINUTES Pull Crown B out to position 2. The movement is then locked (“stop sec- onds” function). For an accurate time set- ting in seconds, stop the seconds hand at 12 o’clock. Move the hands clockwise to the desired time, by passing 12 o’clock.
  • Page 11 DIVING FLANGE Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Mariner Date watch model features a unidirection- al rotating flange (can only be turned an- ti-clockwise), with an index marking every minute. It can measure a particular time using the luminescent white triangular marker as a reference point in relation to the hour hand or minute hand.
