    1.4 Electrical Safety WARNING! The DC input to the modules (and the converter system) – though not dangerous in volt- age – has a high short circuit current capacity that may cause severe burns and electri- cal arcing. The DC output is a potentially dangerous voltage. Do not touch the output connections when under power.

Product Overview The LPS04 is a compact, stand-alone DC to DC up-converter system designed for distributed power communica- tions applications using +/- 190Vdc (RFT-V circuit) over twisted copper pairs. Using switched mode technology, the LPS04 quad output converter module provides outstanding efficiency in a compact design. Applications include, powering mini DSLAMs, optical network terminals in fiber to the home networks, as well as with municipal Wi-Fi access points.

    4. Features 4.1 Converter Modules An LPS04 unit contains four isolated DC to DC line powering converters (channels) with a common control and su- pervisory circuit. Each converter output operates independently.
