Several attachments are available for the Rapid XZ
machine. These include 52-inch or 60-inch mower decks.

IMPORTANT: This machine was designed to operate
with an attachment installed. DO NOT operate this
machine without an attachment correctly installed.
IMPORTANT: Read, understand, and follow all
instructions provided with your attachments. They
provide complete assembly, installation, removal, and
safety instructions.
If you must turn off the weight transfer system (Figure 18)
to install and remove an attachment, make sure you turn
the system on again when you complete the task.
Operating the unit with the weight transfer system turned
off will cause loss of drive wheel traction and may
damage the lift arms and the unit's frame.

8.1 ATTACHMENT INSTALLATION AND
REMOVAL
Attachment Installation
NOTE: The following instructions apply for a mower
deck. Installation of other attachments is similar. Attach-
ment Model 89010000 shown in illustrations; other
attachments are similar.
1. Align the attachment in front of the unit.
2. Connect the attachment's drive shaft to the unit's
PTO shaft as shown in Figure 19:
a. Pull back lock collar on PTO shaft.
b. Connect PTO shaft to attachment shaft.

c. Release lock collar.
3. If necessary, start the engine and use the lift arm up/
down switch (Figure 18) to align the lift arms with the
attachment's mounting arms.
Connect attachment drive
shaft to unit's PTO shaft.
Connect lift cylinder
to lift point (pin and
spring clip).
Engage the front lock
latches to secure
attachment to the unit.
4. Push the attachment into the lift arms so the lower
plated lock latches are ready to be engaged. Close
the front lock latches (Figure 20).
5. Connect the lift cylinder to the attachment with the lift
pin and spring clip (Figure 19).
If necessary, use the attachment lift switch to help
align the lift cylinder with the attachment's lift point.
