1.10 Connecting Rear Panel I/O Devices
The rear I/O part of this motherboard provides the following I/O ports:
AN52S
AN52
•
Mouse: Connects to PS/2 mouse.
•
Keyboard: Connects to PS/2 keyboard.
•
COM1: Connects to external modem, mouse or other devices that support this
communication protocol.
•
EZ-CCMOS1: This switch enables clearing the CMOS memory without uncovering the

system chassis.
To clear the CMOS memory by EZ-CCMOS1 switch:
Step 1: Power off the system.
Step 2: Turn left this switch to the
"Clear CMOS" position.
Step 3: Turn right this switch to its
default "Normal" position. The default
CMOS memory is now reloaded.
Make sure to set this switch to its

"Normal" position before turning on
the AC power. Otherwise, the DC
power won't be able to turn on.
Also make sure to shut down the system power before clearing CMOS memory.

Note that by turning left this switch to the "Clear CMOS" position under system
power-on condition will force shutting down the system, and by turning right
this switch to the "Normal" position will then force turning on the system.
