Calibration

4.2.4.1 Basic calibration
Following table lists basic calibration. This menu recalculates all internal calibration points.
User can change calibration values only if the correct calibration password has been entered. Default factory
set Calibration password is "10000".
Level 1
Recalibrates flowmeters zero point. Before starting recalibration measuring tube
Set zero flow
must be completely filled and flowrate must be '0'.
Relative difference
Recalibrates flowmeters slope (relative). Slope can be selected from -15 % to +15 %.
Actual flow
Actual measured flow (actual average - Setup menu/Flow/Moving average)
30s average flow
Actual measured flow (30s average)
User can restore calibration settings to factory values
(Setup menu/General/ Factory settings/ Restore calibration points).
4.2.4.2 Extended calibration
Flowmeter BFM921 enables calibration at 2, 3 or 4 points. Each calibration point contains 2 values.
Nominal value of calibration point is selected by user in range between +/- QMAX (for maximum
flowrates see table 1: BFM921 flowrates). It is expressed in flowrate units. To this nominal value is
attached a calibration constant. Calibration constant doesn't have a unit. In the calibration process user
change this calibration constant to reach similarity between standard flowmeter and the calibrated
flowmeter. Higher calibration constant means lower displayed value.
Calibration constants must be different. In the case of two equal calibration constants, the measured values
could be wrong.
Operation manual
Item allows setting the Qp constant. Qp represents the volume for one
impulse.
Output mode can be selected from Off, On positive, On negative, On In,
On out, Dose on, Dose off, On<F1, On>F1, Error on, Error off.
The Mask allows selecting which errors will be reported via the Status
Output. Mask value is calculated as sum of bit values all enabled errors.
See Table 11 : Error mask.
Input mode can be selected from Off, Start dose, Clear aux. volume,
Clear all volumes, State out on, State out off, State out toggle, Empty
pipe.
Low flowrate limit.
High flowrate limit.
Hysteresis of flowrate limits.
Function enables user to set volume for dosing.
Function displays actual state of measured dose.
Function enables user to stop dosing in progress.
