Controls operation of synchronous access mode:
■
a =0 specifies that in transparent sub-mode, modem
transmits 8-bit SYN sequence on idle.
■
b =0 specifies that in framed sub-mode, modem transmits
HDLC flags on idle (default and fixed).
■
c =0 specifies that in framed sub-mode, modem transmits
abort on underrun in middle of frame (default);
■
c =1 specifies that in framed sub-mode, modem transmits
flag on underrun in middle of frame, notifies DTE.
■
d : not to be commanded.
■
e =0 specifies CRC generation and checking disabled
(default and fixed).
■
f =0 specifies NZRI encoding and decoding disabled
(default and fixed).
■
g =255 sets the octet value used in character-oriented
framing.
■
h: not to be commanded.
