10) Lower the left and right boom onto the GFS
wheels, so that there is no oil pressure on the
cylinder holding the boom tips up.
11) Connect ½ hydraulic hoses to the JIC run tees
and the other end to the left and right hand shaft
end ports of the boom lift cylinders. See Figure 3
Hoses for cylinder- GFS valve. The LH cylinder
gets the hose nearest to the pressure gauge on
the GFS unit.
12) Carefully remove the barrel end boom lift cylinder
hoses from the cylinders, being certain that there
is no remaining oil pressure in the lines. Route the
new lines back to the GFS control and install into
run Tees in the Tank line.

13) Purge all the air from the shoulder cylinder lines by
having one individual operate the left boom UP
and right boom UP switches, while a second

other necessary safety equipment catches the oil
in a mostly closed top container.
14) Fully tighten shoulder cylinder hoses.
15) Follow the instructions in 4.1 OPEN CENTER
OPERATION(option) section 4.2 GFS Hydraulic
Pressure Adjustments page 22, to get a proper
pressure setting, To have the least stress on boom
components, maintain the lowest differential
pressure to allow satisfactory ground following
performance.
16) Snap tie all hoses and wires properly to avoid
chaffed hoses and wires in the future.
17) Install decals shown in Section 2.11 Safety Decals
