Connecting the Base Station
Charging the Battery Pack
To charge the battery, simply insert the QuickScan reader into
the base. When the scanner is fully seated in the cradle, it will
sound a "chirp" to indicate that the cradle has detected the
scanner connection.

Before using the battery, read "Battery Safety" in
the Regulatory Addendum included with your
product. Datalogic recommends annual replace-
ment of rechargeable battery packs to ensure

maximum performance.
Alternatively, the battery can be charged by connecting the
reader directly to a host through the micro-USB connector
available in the bottom of the handle, as shown.
Replacing the Battery Pack

Using a coin or screwdriver, unscrew the captive screw
located on the bottom of the scanner handle until the
battery pack is disengaged.
The battery pack will rise slightly in the rear, pushed by
the contact springs.
