b. Pull the tips of the rubber mounts until the front fan is secured in place.

c. Connect the front-fan cable to the front-fan connector on the system board. See "Parts on the

Rear fan

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter

To remove or install the rear fan, do the following:
1. Prepare your computer. See "Preparing your computer" on page 98.
2. Locate the rear fan. See "FRUs and CRUs" on page 35.
3. To remove the rear fan, do the following:
a. Disconnect the rear-fan cable from the rear-fan connector on the system board. See "Parts on the
system board" on page 38.
