10. Power on the device. Replacing Memory Modules The TDS-h2489FU has 32 memory slots. You can increase the memory capacity of the NAS by upgrading memory modules. For optimal performance, replace 8 memory modules for one CPU at the same time.

Check the value for Total memory. Replacing Expansion Cards The TDS-h2489FU series supports selected expansion cards, some of which require QNAP PCIe brackets. QNAP-branded expansion cards purchased from the company website are shipped with the brackets necessary to fit the TDS-h2489FU series.

Important • The default "admin" account is automatically enabled after the system reset. • To protect your device from brute force attacks, QNAP recommends disabling the default "admin" account after a system reset. To disable the account, change the default admin password, log out of QTS, and then log in to QTS with another admin account.
