13) Install the aluminum tab onto the screw at the bottom of the 10 meter loading coil where the
aluminum jumper is also connected. Loosen the mounting nut for the jumper and install one end of
the tab onto the screw and reinstall the nut. This tab will make the connection from the coil to the
radiator tube. Slide a hose clamp onto the aluminum radiator. Slide the aluminum radiator tube until
it contacts the mounting screw that was just loosened. Slide the hose clamp over the tab and tighten
the hose clamp to firmly attach the loading assembly to the aluminum radiator.
14) Double check the tightness of all the hardware you installed and then mount the antenna on the short
temporary tuning mast 6-8 feet above the ground.
15) Tune the antenna as discussed in the next section.
16) Mount the antenna in the final location. Slight re-tuning may be necessary.
