- Page 2 Introduction The MFJ-1790 is a simple lightweight off center fed vertical antenna. It’s simple construction and lightness allow for easy installation almost anywhere. The single band design is engineered for maximum effiency and low radiation angle resulting in strong DX signals.
- Page 3 Install the top section of the radiator using the 3/8 tube that does not have the slot. Slide the tube inward until the total length of the vertical element is 11 feet. This is a general length and should get the antenna close to 28.350MHz. Final tuning should be done with an antenna analyzer or swr meter.
