MFJ 1801 Quick Start Manual

INTRODUCTION
The MFJ-1801 is a 2.4 GHz 15dBi antenna that is housed in a weatherproof enclosure.
This antenna is perfect for strengthening 802.11b/g or "WiFi" signals. This antenna will
turn that wireless signal you can barely find into a strong useful signal. The MFJ-1801
comes with a mounting bracket which allows you to mount indoor or outdoor on any
mast up to 1 ¼ inches OD. The MFJ-1801 withstands harsh weather, wind,
thunderstorms, ice, sleet, snow, and high humidity. The MFJ-1801 WiFi antenna has 15
dBi of gain and uses standard 'N' connectors.
INSTALLATION
1. You will need a cable that fits your individual application. Since some wireless
network manufacturers do not use standard external antenna connectors, we have
provided a standard 'N' connector on the enclosure of the antenna in order for you to
easily fit a cable to your computer.
2. The MFJ-1801 WiFi Yagi Antenna is intended for applications in or out of the weather.
It is fully protected from the elements.
3. Mount on any mast up to 1¼". Simply loosen the nuts on the bracket and install onto the
mast.
4. Connect the MFJ-1801 WiFi Yagi Antenna to your wireless card, and follow the wireless
card manufacturer's instructions. You may need to adjust the position of the antenna to
achieve the maximum signal.
