Installation Wiring
Vehicle Hard Wire FUSE connection for VDR Permanent power
Warning: Installation should only be performed by professional vehicle electronics installer. Failure to install
or connect wires properly may cause damages and or malfunction of vehicle, which may lead to injury or
death. Ventra is not responsible for any damages arising from installation
Identify the proper fuse and location. Refer to vehicle owners manual.
To record continuously (24/7) regardless if the vehicle ignition is turned on and off:
•
Connect Red wire to ACC or Aux fuse
•
Connect Yellow wire to 12V or 24V constant power
•
Connect Black wire to bolt or metal frame of a vehicle (Ground)
To record only while the car ignition is turned on:
•
Splice Red and Yellow wires together and connect to ACC or Aux fuse
•
Connect Black wire to bolt or metal frame of a vehicle (Ground)
