The basic components of the air compressor are the electric motor, pump, pressure switch, and tank. The electric motor (see A) powers the pump. -

It is operated automatically when the power switch is in the ON position, it allows the compressor to start up or shut down automatically, without warning, depending upon air demand. -

Owner’s Manual Compressor (cont’d) BREAKING IN THE PUMP 1. Make sure air compressor is OFF. 2. Open the petcock. Turn counterclockwise (loosen). 3. Push the power switch to the ON position.
