10. Image Density is too high
Problem
The toner density is too
high
1. Dirty background
may appear on the
copy. Also a 1 mm
thick horizontal
black line may
appear.
2. The image density
of black solid areas
is too high.
3. Toner is built-up on
the end block
covers of the
transfer/separation
corona unit and on
the upper cover of
the development
unit.
1. The lamp regulator output voltage is too high.
2. The bias voltage is too high.
3. The charge current is too low.
4. When the copier is used in fixed toner supply mode, excessive toner
may be supplied regardless of the actual usage, depending on the type
of original used.
5. The toner supply ratio is greater than the actual usage. If 45% supply
in detect supply mode is selected and a solid black original is used, the
amount of toner supplied at one time is twice the actual toner
consumption, thus causing toner scattering inside the copier.
Also, if DIP SW 101-5 and -6 are turned on, toner scattering can be
expected under normal copy operation conditions.
