Unit does not start, new batteries in remote. Will only start manually holding unit button 10 seconds

The Rheem RIWH18AVFJ unit may not start with the remote after replacing the batteries because, if memory backup is not enabled (SW6 set to OFF), all settings stored in memory are deleted during a power failure or battery replacement. You need to reconfigure the settings or enable memory backup by setting SW6 to ON using the wired remote controller.
