Troubleshooting
Problem
The suction power
is insufficient

Possible cause
The dust container is full.
The filter cylinder is dirty.
The suction power slide on
the handgrip is open.
FC8199 only: the electronic
suction power control is
set to a low setting.
The exhaust filter is dirty.
The nozzle, tube or hose is
blocked up.
Solution
Empty the dust container.
Clean the filter cylinder (see chapter
'Cleaning').
Close the suction power slide on the handgrip.
Set the electronic suction power control to a
higher setting.
Shake this filter over a dustbin to clean it.
To remove the obstruction, disconnect the
blocked-up item and connect it (as far as
possible) the other way around. Switch on the
vacuum cleaner to suck the obstruction out of
the blocked-up item.
