8.2 RS485 / RS232 Command Protocol Summary
COMMAND
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
READ
Read the current pressure in Torr
SET ADDR
Set the communications (RS485)
OFFSET
address offset (upper nibble)
SET SPAN
Set the span or atmosphere
calibration point
SET ZERO
Set the zero or vacuum calibration
point
SET TRIP POINT
Set the 'turns on below' pressure
#1
point for relay #1 and set the
'turns off above' pressure point
for relay #1.
SET TRIP POINT
Set the 'turns on below' pressure
#2
point for relay #2 and set the
'turns off above' pressure point
for relay #2.
READ TRIP
Read the 'turns on below'
POINT #1
pressure point for relay #1 and
read the 'turns off above'
pressure point for relay #1.
READ TRIP
Read the 'turns on below'
POINT #2
pressure point for relay #2 and
read the 'turns off above'
pressure point for relay #2.
READ SW
Read the revision number of the
VERSION
firmware.
SET FACTORY
Force unit to return ALL settings
DEFAULTS
back to the way the factory
programmed them before
shipment.
SET BAUD RATE
Set the communications baud rate
for RS485 and RS232.
SET NO PARITY
Set the communications to NO
parity, 8 bits for the RS485 and
RS232.
SET ODD PARITY
Set the communications to ODD
parity, 7 bits for the RS485 and
RS232.
SET EVEN
Set the communications to EVEN
PARITY
parity, 7 bits for the RS485/
RS232.
RESET
Reset the device. (required to
complete some of the
commands.)
(1) Commands marked with a (1) under the "BRIEF DESCRIPTION" column will not take effect until after RESET
command is sent or power is cycled. This protocol was designed to be 100% compatible with the Granville-
Phillips® Mini-Convectron®.
