Controls and displays
MUTE
Use to mute the sound or restore the
sound if it has been muted.

SLEEP (page 30)
Use to put the receiver in sleep mode and
select the amount of time before the
receiver turns off.
FL DIMMER
Use this button to make the fluorescent
display (FL) dimmer or brighter.
INPUT ATT
Use to attenuate (lower) the level of an
analog input signal to prevent distortion.

INPUT SELECTOR buttons
Use to select the input source.

MENU (DVD control)
Use to access different menus associated
with your DVD player.
10 } ] ' ' and ENTER/SETUP buttons
Use these arrow buttons when setting up your
surround sound system. These buttons are also
used to control DVD menus/options.
11 RECEIVER
Use to switch to the receiver controls on the
remote control. Also used when setting up the
surround sound for the receiver.
12 Tuner controls (page 38–40)
The TUNING +/– buttons can be used to find
radio frequencies. The STATION +/– buttons
can be used to select preset radio stations.
CLASS (page 39–40)
Use to switch between the three banks
(classes) of station presets.
MPX (page 38–39)
Use to switch between auto stereo and
mono reception of FM broadcasts. If the
signal is weak then switching to mono will
improve the sound quality.
DISPLAY (page 40, 42)
Use to switch the display between the
station preset name and frequency, and to
display the different types of RDS informa-
tion available.
13 DVD CONTROL buttons
You can use these buttons to control a Pioneer
DVD player connected to your system.

Changes the audio language or

SUBTITLE
Displays/changes the subtitles
included in multilingual DVD-
Video discs.

scanning.

Starts playback.

Stops playback.

Pauses a disc that's playing, or
restarts a paused disc.

Skips to the start of the current
track or chapter, then to
previous tracks/chapters.
