    Sensus makes it possible to use apps and turn your vehicle into a Wi-Fi hotspot. Sensus provides an intelligent interface with the digital world. An intuitive navigation structure offers access to relevant assistance, information and entertainment, without distracting the driver.

    Volvo ID to your car’s Vehicle Identification Number. This should be done before you take delivery. Below are the steps for pairing your Volvo Cars app with your vehicle. 1. Download the Volvo Cars app and Sign In Download the Volvo Cars app by visiting the appropriate app store.
  • Page 5 Communication Select Vehicle Modem Internet. Vehicle Modem Internet Uncheck the box. 3. Within Car: Pair Your Phone Sign In to your Volvo ID in the app Sign In on your phone. Incomplete Registration Select the vehicle you’re trying to pair from the Incomplete Registration list.

    Basic Touchscreen Navigation The Center Display touchscreen is used to control many of the vehicle’s main functions, such as media, navigation, climate control, driver- support systems and in-vehicle apps. Home screen The home screen contains four rectangular tiles. Just tap the tile to open that particular function: 1.
  • Page 7 Basic Touchscreen Navigation (continued) Car Functions To reach Car Functions, swipe left to right from the side of the Home Screen. In Car Functions, you can activate/ deactivate various vehicle functions, such as Lane Keeping Aid, Road Sign Information, Park Assist, and Head-up Display (if equipped).
  • Page 8 Basic Touchscreen Navigation (continued) Settings To reach Settings: On the Home Screen swipe down for Top View, then tap the Settings icon in the upper left corner. Many personal preferences can be changed under Settings. My Car My Car allows personalization of such categories as displays, mirrors, front seats, lights and locking.
  • Page 9 NOTE: You can also “send” a destination to the car’s navigation system from your cell phone, using the Volvo Cars app. This method, in addition to voice commands if you’re in the car, are the easiest ways to set a destination.

    Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ® ® Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow your vehicle to enable certain apps in your iOS or Android device to, for example, play music, get driving directions or listen to podcasts. This interaction takes place via the vehicle’s center display or your device.
  • Page 14 Siri must be activated on your iOS device. The device must also be connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi or a mobile network. If you want to continue using Sensus connectivity features in parallel, your car also must be connected via smartphone WiFi hotspot or personal SIM card.
  • Page 15 Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (continued) ® ® To use Android Auto The first time you connect your Android telephone, follow these steps: 1. Install the Android Auto app on your Android device. 2. Plug the device into the USB port with a white frame.
  • Page 16 Pro tip: Aim for the center left parking sensor or the first “V” of the “Volvo” lettering for best results. The ‘kick’ should be smooth during the inward and outward motion – no waving or holding your foot in place as this won’t activate the sensor to open /close the tailgate.
