It is unlikely that programming will be undertaken during the course. However, programs for
drawing rectangles for Riemann sums and other calculus topics are easy to find on the internet,
and using them can be fun.
To enter a program, press PRGM and select NEW . Press ENTER . Using the Alpha keys on
the calculator, enter a name for the program. (Note, the calculator is expecting letters, so there is
no need to press ALPHA before each letter.)
After entering the name, the display will show:
Copy the program into the calculator, using the Alpha keys for letters and operation keys for
symbols. Press ENTER at the end of each line you type.
Many of the commands needed in programming are accessible on the PRGM menu. Within the
program, press PRGM and select CTL . There are 20 commands listed on this screen. Within
the program, press PRGM and select I/O . Another 12 commands are listed on this screen. To
use a command, select it and press ENTER . It will appear at the cursor site in the program.
