5.2
Safety switch
The vehicle is equipped with a safety switch that trips in the event
of a collision.
Press the button to reactivate the safety inertia switch (A). Contact
a Fiat Dealership if the indication (B) that the batteries are not
available is still present on the instrument panel after switching the
motor off and on again.
5.3
Jump starting
Jump starting using cables and/or using an auxiliary 12V
battery is never permitted.
Risk of damaging the electrical system of the vehicle.
Contact a Fiat Dealership.
STARTING WITH FLAT HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERIES AND 12V
BATTERY
Jump starting is NOT possible with a discharged high-voltage
battery.
Therefore, transport the vehicle with a tow truck (see chapter 7) to
a public or private charging point and charge the high-voltage
batteries.
STARTING WITH FLAT HIGH-VOLTAGE BATTERIES AND
CHARGED 12V BATTERY
In this condition it is possible to move the vehicle for a few metres,
positioning the ignition device to the MAR position and putting the
e-shifter in position N.
