GARMIN GPS 72 – Collect and return to "Lulu" each race day.
CHECK BATTERIES
 Press "Menu" twice
 Power indicator is at bottom
right
 Press "Quit" to return.
TURNING IT ON / OFF
 Press and hold red button
DELETING WAYPOINTS
 Press "Menu" twice to go to main menu
 Scroll to "Points" and press "Enter"
 Scroll to "Waypoints" and press "Enter"
 To delete a single waypoint, highlight it on the list, press "Menu" then select "Delete Waypoint", press "Enter",
select "Yes" and press "Enter" to delete it.
 To delete ALL waypoints, highlight any waypoint, press "Menu" then select "Delete All", press "Enter", select
"Yes" and press "Enter" to delete all waypoints.
Please delete all waypoints at the end of the day before returning the unit to Lulu.
CHANGING BATTERIES
 Turn unit off
 Lift and rotate small screw in the back a ¼ turn anti-clockwise
 Gently pull screw handle to open
 Replace batteries – available in Lulu
 Replace using opposite steps. Ensure rubber tab covering the
electrical socket is replaced.
INITIALISING
 Turn the unit on
 Press "Page"
 Wait 2-5 mins, screen will
change
CREATING A WAYPOINT AT YOUR
LOCATION
 Press and hold "Enter / Mark"
until 2 beeps are heard
 Scroll down to "Goto" and press
"Enter"
 Press "Page" to show Bearing
and Dist To Next.
RE-ESTABLISHING A "GOTO" TO
STORED WAYPOINTS IF GPS
POWERS DOWN
 Turn on unit and wait for
initialising to complete
 Press "GOTO" button.
 Navigate to Waypoint, press
"Enter"
 Scroll to desired Waypoint and
press "Enter".
 Press "Page" until the Bearing /
Dist To Next screen displays.
