Brush Roller

The brush roller in XP 15 and XP 18 machines
consists of two parts (128, 138). The push buttons
(122, 133) release the two side plates (127, 137).
Turn the brushes (128 clockwise, 138 counterclock-
wise) and pull them out. To replace, slide the two
brush roller parts into the brush housing and turn
them until they locate into position. Push the respec-
tive button (122, 133) and press the side plates back
138
into place.

We recommend vacuuming out the brush roller ends
periodically to prevent a build up of dust or fibre.
When cleaning hair, etc., from the brush roller, do not
cut into the bristles.

Removing Blockages

Underneath the machine is an inspection door to
check for blockages (144).
144
Blockages in the neck (20 - picture 2) can be checked
by first lifting off the dust bag housing by pressing the
catch (8). Then release the foot pedal, lower the neck
and check into the tube next to the pedal.
Blockages in the hose can cleared by taking the hose
off the machine and replacing It the wrong way round
In the connecting tube (26), holding it upright with
one hand blocking the top and switching on the
machine.
(If necessary quickly lift your hand on and off the end
26
of the hose).
