G. TROUBLESHOOTING
Cause
Electrode is grounded. Porcelain is cracked.
Improperly positioned electrode
Loose ignition wire connection
Defective ignition transformer
Lack of fuel, no gas pressure, closed fuel valve
No voltage to gas valve
Defective gas valve
Improperly positioned electrodes
Too much combustion air flow
Scanner tube dirty or wet
Scanner or amplifier faulty
Incorrect gas pressure
Combustion air flow rate too high
Manual pot in low fire position (low fire hold)
Manual-auto switch or low fire hold switch in wrong position
Modulating Control or Lo-Hi-Lo Control
Loose linkage
