IMPORTANT NOTES

• Read
Safeguard them for future reference.
• Before plugging the coffee maker into
the mains supply, check that the voltage
corresponds with that stated on the cha-
racteristics plate. The use of an earthed
socket is recommended.
• This appliance must only be used with
the connection base with which it has
been supplied.
• Do not switch the appliance on if the
ca ble or the plug are damaged or if it is
not working correctly
• If the cable becomes damaged, it must
only be replaced by a qualified specialist,
technical service centre or the manufactu-
rer.
• Prevent the cable from rubbing against
sharp edges or becoming trapped, never
leave it hanging freely.
• Do not unplug the appliance by tugging
on the mains cable.
• Unplug the mains cable from the wall
socket when the coffee maker is not on
the connection base.
• Always place the appliance on a flat,
level surface. Avoid moving the appliance
while it is operating.
• Do not place it on or near hot surfaces,
such as ovens, electric hobs, gas burners
or similar.
• This appliance must not be used by
persons (including children) with physi-
cal, sensory or mental impairments unless
they have been instructed in its correct
use by a responsible adult.
• Do not leave the appliance operating
unsupervised, especially near children or
the disabled.
• Children must be supervised to ensure
that they do not play with the appliance.
• Do not operate the coffee maker
without water.
• Fill the tank with water only.
• Do not fill above the water level mark on
the inside of the tank.
• Do not touch the hot surfaces and avoid
any hot steam that the appliance genera-
tes, as this could scald you.
• Make sure that the internal filters are not
blocked before each use.
• The filling spout must not be opened
during use.

• Never open the lid while the coffee is
still brewing.
• ATTENTION: Hot coffee may splash out
when the coffee maker is full.

the water tank in water or any other li-
quid.
• Always unplug the coffee maker when it
is not in use and before cleaning it. Leave
it to cool down before putting it away,
removing any pieces and before cleaning
the appliance.
• WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or
electric shock, do not remove any of the
covers. There are no user serviceable parts
on the inside. Cable repairs and replace-
ments must be carried out exclusively by
an Authorised Technical Service Centre.
• This appliance has been designed for
domestic use only and for the purposes
which it was designed..
• Only use ground coffee, never instant
coffee, otherwise it could block the sys-
tem.
Before using it for the first time, wash all
of the accessories and operate it once
without any coffee.

PREPARING COFFEE

1. Unwind the mains cable fully from the
connection base.
2. Unscrew the upper body from the water
tank (Fig I) and make sure that the gasket
and filter are clean and undamaged.
3. Take the coffee filters 3 and 6 cup, out
of the water tank.
4. Fill the water tank without exceeding
the maximum level, as marked on the in-
side of it, Fig IV.
5. Put the filter that you wish to use back
onto the water tank. (Fig V)
6. When fitting the 3 cup filter, you
should also fit the 6 cup filter in order to
support it.
7. Fill the filter up to the rim with ground
coffee. Do not pack the coffee down. (Fig
VI)
8. Remove any excess coffee from around
the edge of the filter and screw the upper
body back onto the water tank. ( Fig VII)
9. To avoid the risk of burns, after screwing
the body on make sure that the safety val-
ve remains on the side opposite to the
handle, as steam may escape from here
during the brew cycle.
