Replacement procedure
1. Remove the power cord. See "Power cord" on page 50.
2. Remove the left side cover and right side cover. See "Left side cover and right side cover" on page 50.
3. Remove the front bezel. See "Front bezel" on page 51.
4. Remove the wire cover. See "Wire cover (for selected models)" on page 52.
5. Remove the front fan. See "Front fans" on page 63
6. Remove the PCI-Express card. See "PCI-Express card" on page 65
7. Remove the M.2 solid-state drive. See "M.2 solid-state drive" on page 56
8. Remove the microprocessor heatsink and fan assembly. See "Microprocessor heatsink and fan
assembly (for selected models)" on page 56
9. Remove the microprocessor. See "Microprocessor" on page 70
10. Record the cable routing and cable connections, and then disconnect all cables from the system board.
11. Remove the eight screws that secure the system board, and then carefully lift the system board out of
the chassis.
Note: Carefully handle the system board by its edges.
12. Perform the removal procedure in reverse to reinstall a new FRU.
