    P5 – DB9 connector. For programming purposes. Jumper Settings • SW2 – set according to the ID of the UCM (see “UCM ID Switch” settings). Buttons • SW1 – Reset button. Resets the KT01. It does not change any parameters in Comfort.

    The KT01 appears on the Comfort network as a UCM, not a Keypad. Hence the ID should be set according to the number of UCMs. There is no need to use another UCM to connect to KT01. as the interface is built in to the KT01.

    Network, ie the ID has to be set according to the number of UCMs in the system. If there is only 1 KT01 and UCM, the ID on the KT01 must be set to 2. By convention, ID 1 is reserved for uploading and downloading from Comfort, and is not reported in cases of Communications Failure.

    KeyTouch, is a user-friendly, drag and drop interface, which will be explained in greater detail in the subsequent section. The KT01 uses the Serial Communications firmware version XXXXX. This is already installed in the KT01. Do NOT install any regular C-Touch firmware as it will NOT work with the KT01.

    KT01 KeyTouch Touchscreen Keypad Getting Started A default file has been loaded into the KeyTouch KT01 to help users in using KT01 with Comfort for the first time. This default file can be found in the CD provided under def_kt01.xml On the main page, 5 buttons are displayed, namely Keypad, Control, Security, Panic, and Tools.

    KT01 KeyTouch Touchscreen Keypad encounters an AC power failure (in cases where the Standby Battery provides the backup power). Status Icons This section serves to illustrate how the various statuses shown on the main page is depicted. Arm Status This status shows the current arm status, but does not show the security mode.

    KT01 KeyTouch Touchscreen Keypad To reflect the arm status, the following must be set: • Key functions: Status • Network: Local Network • Application: D0 • Group Address: 80. Alarm State This icon serves to show when the system is in Alarm.

    KT01 KeyTouch Touchscreen Keypad Keypad Emulation The Keypad Button directs the user to the Keypad Page as shown below: Here the various buttons work as if they were pressed via an ordinary keypad KP01/02. When the system is armed, entering the user coder will disarm the system.

    KT01 KeyTouch Touchscreen Keypad Security The security page allows users to monitor Comfort zones on KeyTouch. The status shown is their real-time status. Here, the user is able to monitor a total of 5 zones (front door, PIR, 2 windows and a door), as well as the security status of the tamper, alarm, battery, arm status and AC status.
