Problem Symptom
While Paper out
receiving
Paper jam
Paper does not feed.
Paper is not exited at the end of
a print job.
The automatic print reduction
feature does not work.
Communicat- No dial tone heard

The machine won't receive

Action
An error massage will appear on the display if
the machine has run out of the paper while
receiving a document. Load paper.
If paper jam occurs, an error code is displayed.
Remove the jammed paper.
Check if the paper tray is loaded with paper.
Load paper as directed by relevant instructions.
Check to see if the paper has not jammed in the
machine.
Check the setting of "24 Print Reduction" in
Function Parameters (Fax/Email Settings> Fax
Parameters).
• Check the telephone line connection.
• Check the telephone line.
• Check the telephone line connection.
• Check the receive mode settings.
• If "13 Auto Print JRNL" set to "Valid" in
Function Parameters (Fax/Email Settings>
Fax Parameters), and the machine is printing
the received document(s) from memory, which
also happens to be the 200th transaction, the
machine will not auto answer until the
Transaction Journal completes printing.
An error code appears on the display. See the
error code table and identify the problem.
Switch off the machine for seconds, and then
turn it on again.
