INSTRUCTION MANUAL
CHECKING CHAIN OIL SUPPLY
After starting the engine, release the chain brake and run the chain at medium speed. A correct operation of
the automatic oiler can be checked by running the chainsaw and pointing the tip of the chain bar, towards a
piece of cardboard or paper positioned on the ground.
CAUTION: Do not touch the ground with the chain. Ensure safety clearance of 20cm minimum . If an
increasing oil pattern appears, the automatic oiler is operating correctly.
1. The chain oil flow can be changed by inserting a screwdriver in the hole on bottom of the clutch side of
the base of the machine.
2. Adjust according to your work conditions.
Turn the shaft anti-clockwise – Increase flow.
Turn the shaft clockwise – Decrease flow.
CHECKING CLUTCH FUNCTIONALITY
Before each use, check and confirm that the saw chain does not rotate when the machine is at idle speed.
IS THE CHAIN TENSION IN ORDER AND THE CHAIN SHARP?
Check a new chain's tension, every 10 minutes during initial operation. During the first uses, a new chain can
lengthen considerably. The condition of the chain influences the cutting performance of the machine. Only a
sharp chain protects the chainsaw from overload.
ARE YOU WEARING THE SUITABLE & NECESSARY PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT?
Whenever the machine is in use, safety glasses/goggles must be worn to safeguard against flying objects.
Hearing protection must also be used to protect the operators hearing. If the operator is working in an area
where there is a risk of falling objects, a safety helmet must also be worn. Wear boots with saw protection,
steel-toe cap and non- slip sole. Suitable chainsaw protection gloves are also recommended. Adequate
protective clothing will reduce personal injury from flying debris or accidental contact with the saw chain.
CARBURETTOR ADJUSTMENT
The carburettor has been factory adjusted but may require fine tuning due to change in operating
conditions. If the carburettor needs to be adjusted, be sure to adjust it with the bar and saw chain in
position. Before adjusting the carburettor, make sure that the air &fuel filters are clean and fresh, correctly
mixed fuel is being used.
H and L needles are restricted within the number of turns as shown:
H needle –1/4 L needle –1/4
Start engine and allow it to warm up in low speed for a few minutes.
Turn idle adjusting screw 'T' (1) anti-clockwise, so that the saw chain does not turn. If idle speed is too slow,
turn the idle adjusting screw (1) clockwise.
Make a test cut, adjust the H needle for best cutting power, not for maximum speed.
