ASSEMBLY
Remove the machine and contents from the carton. Be sure the carton is empty before discarding.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
NOTE: This product is a 2-stroke engine powered machine.
The engine MUST be filled with recommended 2-stroke semi-synthetic or synthetic oil and unleaded petrol
BEFORE starting. Fresh unleaded petrol must be used in this unit. The fuel and oil must be mixed at a ratio of
40:1.
Stop the engine and unplug the spark plug before any repairs or maintenance operations.
DO NOT attempt to start this machine without it first being FULLY assembled.
DO NOT attempt to start this machine without the recommended 2-stroke semi-synthetic or synthetic oil
and unleaded petrol BEFORE starting. Fresh unleaded petrol must be used in this unit. The fuel and oil must
INSTALLING GUIDE BAR & SAW CHAIN
The saw chain has very sharp edges. Use protective gloves for safety. Make sure the engine has stopped
before making guide bar and saw chain adjustments.
A standard saw unit package contains the following items:
1. Pull the chain brake back towards the front handle to release the chain brake.
2. Loosen the two securing nuts holding the clutch cover to the power unit. Remove the clutch cover.
3. Fit the saw chain around the guide bar, ensuring the chain direction is correct.
4. Mount the guide bar to the power unit, looping the chain over the power unit sprocket and inserting the
chain tensioner (7) into the lower hole (8) of the guide bar. Adjust the chain tension, using adjuster (9)
