5. Installation

5.3 LeakFilm MC with Host System

LeakFilm MC can also be connected to a host system as shown in the below diagram. Up
to 32 LeakFilm MC controllers can be connected to a host system using RS-485 MODBUS
communication. See "10. MODBUS Register Map" for detail.
A communication ID is required for LeakFilm MC to communicate with the host system.
The acceptable range of the ID is from 1 to 32 and the default value is 1. The ID of each
master controller should be unique otherwise it cannot communicate with the host system
properly due to ID conflict. See "6.1 Terminal connections" for instructions on how to set the
communication ID.
