P/A Controlling Exposure: Exposure Modes

In P and A modes, shutter speed and aperture can be
adjusted to suit the user's creative intent.
P and A modes also give the user control over ISO sen-
sitivity (c50), white balance (c52), and the options in
the Shooting menu (c86).

While flexible program is in effect, shutter speed and
aperture are displayed yellow (otherwise, they are
displayed white), and an asterisk ("*") appears next
to the exposure mode indicator in the shooting dis-

selector left or right until the shutter speed and aperture are displayed in white, or rotate the
mode dial to a different setting. Turning off the camera also deactivates flexible program.
