Philosopher’s Gold is a variation on the original Philosopher’s Tone, featuring the same optical sustain engine with the addition of an optional layer of germanium-enhanced distortion. The unique diode arrangement found in the Philosopher’s Gold delivers a smooth top end and rich midrange response, tailored to match the characteristics of the optical sustainer driving it.
- Page 4 EXPLANATION OF CONTROLS Volume: Sets the overall output volume. Sustain: Sets the amount of sustain. Grit: Blends in a Germanium overdrive stage. Blend: Mixes your compressed effect with your clean signal. Philosopher’s Gold requires a negative tip, 9VDC power supply. Philosopher’s Gold does not take batteries.
- Page 5 If your product is destroyed, lost or damaged beyond repair while in the possession of Pigtronix for repair, Pigtronix will replace that product with one of the same or most similar style of a value not in excess of the original purchase price of your pedal. Any insurance covering the pedal, including but not limited to collector’s value insurance, must be carried by you at your expense.
