    BRIEF DESCRIPTION MSX-AI-5000 edge vision systems are intended to capture video streams from several industrial cameras, to run embedded vision algorithms in real-time, and to visualize the ongoing processing as a live stream. The system comes with two user interfaces: an Android application and a web browser interface. They allow you to setup, monitor and live visualize the machine vision applications.

    CONNECTING THE PERIPHERALS Power supply Connect the power supply cable to the DC IN 12~24V port of the module and to your power grid. Ethernet If you need to establish a wired connection, plug the Ethernet cable to the module’s LAN port and to your internal Ethernet network.

    DOWNLOAD THE ANDROID APPLICATION The Android application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store by searching for "Addi-Data". You can also simply scan this QR Code to download it.

    ANDROID APPLICATION USER GUIDE Connection to the system Turn on the MSX-AI-5000 and wait a few minutes for the system to boot up. There are 2 options to connect the system to the application: • by Wi-Fi hotspot • by local Ethernet network...
  • Page 9: Wi-Fi Hotspot

    If you want to connect by local Ethernet network, please go to the next section. In the Wi-Fi menu of your device, connect to the Wi-Fi network named ADDI-DATA-XXXXXX. The default password is the serial number. Since this hotspot doesn’t provide internet connection, your device may display an error message.

    (GPS and media file) and start the application. Make sure that your device is in the same Ethernet subnet as the MSX-AI-5000. If not, you can modify the range of IP addresses to scan within the "Advanced settings"...

    Select agent(s) Click on "DETECT AGENTS" to search for devices on the Ethernet network. Select the agent of your choice. At this step, you have access to the following information: the name of the agent, the MAC adress and the type of connection with the icons.

    Create a new account If you start the application for the first time, you have to create an account. If you already have an account, please go to the next section. To create an account, all fields are mandatory. The name field must contain between 3 and 30 characters. The field for the email address must contain "@".

    There are differents ways to access to the menu of the application. You can either click on the ADDI-DATA logo at the top left corner, or just swipe left to right to open menu and swipe right to left to close menu.

    Camera settings Access to camera settings Within the menu, click on the "Smart sensors" tab to access the sensor settings.

    Configure camera(s) Select the camera you want to configure. A symbol for each camera appears in the right top corner, it represents the type of connection of the camera. You can set different parameters depending on the cameras. The updates are displayed in real-time.

    At this step, you can see diffrent parameters which can be modified in real time. With this you can adjust the exposure manually or just put an automatic exposure. Here you can adjust the gain of the video stream to manage the visual noise. You can adjust the temperature, red for warm temperature and blue for cold temperature.

    Add task(s) Click on "ADD TASK". Select the task of your choice. To illustrate this user guide, we have selected the task "Check the conformity of plastic cover parts".
  • Page 18 Select the camera(s) on which you want to run the task and click on "NEXT".
  • Page 19: Configuration Of A Task

    Configuration of the task Click on "+" to add a zone on the video stream and set the zone manually. You can adjust parameters. Some tasks do not have specific settings. Click here to switch to fullscreen. That way setting the zone(s) becomes easier.
  • Page 20 You can set several zones for the same camera. Simply repeat the previous step. Click on "EDIT" to modify the zone’s name or click on "DELETE" to delete the zone.

    Watch the task • Click on "COMPLETE" to validate the setting of your zone(s). • Click on and then on "WATCH" to visualize the video stream. Click on the return button of your phone to return to the page "Running Tasks" and add or delete task(s).

    Delete a task To delete a task, select it and click on "DELETE". This way, all parameters are deleted. If you have deleted the task by error, you have to create it again. You can add a new or an other task too.

    MQTT reporting settings Access to MQTT settings Within the menu, click on the "Agent settings" tab to open the general settings of the MSX-AI-5000.

    MQTT parameters Click on "Modify settings" and then on "MQTT". Set the "Mode" parameter to the "Manual" value, and fill in the settings. Contact your system administrator to find out the different parameters to set.

    RETURN OF THE MATERIAL Before returning your Edge AI Vision System, you should read the following checklist: • Specify the reason for returning your Edge AI Vision System (e.g. exchange, hardware update, end of subscription), the contact person in your company including his/her phone number and e-mail address, as well as the mailing address for a potential new delivery.
