USING THE REMOTE CONTROL

The lithium battery has been installed in the remote
control supplied with your camcorder, to be used as a
wireless unit to control the camcorder. This remote control
can also be used as a wired unit when connected to the
camcorder, to control the camcorder and watch the
picture being recorded, or to view the tape playback on
the colour monitor display.

Using the remote control as a wireless unit

The remote control can be used within a range of 4 m
from the front of the sensor window. If the range seems to
decrease or the remote control does not function, replace
the remote control lithium battery. ( See page 20.)

Press on the remote control sensor to expose it. The
remote control sensor on the camcorder can then be
turned to face any direction. Press it again to conceal it
when not using the remote control.

Direct the remote control toward the remote control
sensor window, press the desired buttons to operate
the camcorder.
During recording, the recording indicator ( A) will light.
It will flash during a recording pause.
Remote control operation is not possible if:
�Note:
•a strong light or sunlight is directed at the remote
control sensor,
ethere is an obstacle between the remote control unit
and the camcorder.

Using the remote control as a wired unit

Open the mounting foot piece at the back of the
remote control.

Insert the mounting foot into the accessory shoe on the
camcorder. Then, fix it by turning the stopper ring. The
remote control can be inserted facing 4 directions
(front, rear, left or right side).

Open the terminals cover, and plug the colour monitor
cable into the
