Problem

The quantity of reagent
added was not correct.

correctly dispensed.
The reagents are no
longer good.
The sample port is
dirty.
The sample vials are
dirty or have scratches.
The wrong parameter
was selected.
The reagents have
expired.
The reagent blank
value is not correct or
missing.
Solution
Hold the reagent bottle vertically
above the sample vial when reagent
is added.
Note: If the reagent bottle is horizontal
when drops are added, the quantity of
reagent added will change.
Discard the set of reagent bottles.
Use a new set of reagent bottles. Do
a reagent blank calibration. Refer to
Do a reagent blank calibration
on page 16.
Keep the new reagents bottles out
of direct sunlight or indoor UV
illumination. UV light causes
damage to the reagents. When not
in use, keep the reagent bottles in
the dark.
Clean the sample port. Refer to
Clean the sample port
Clean the sample vials if dirty.
Replace the sample vials if the
sample vials have scratches.
Make sure to select the correct
parameter (e.g., free chlorine) and
use the correct reagents for the
parameter.
Discard the set of reagent bottles.
Use a new set of reagent bottles. Do
a reagent blank calibration. Refer to

on page 16.
Make sure to do a reagent blank
calibration before a set of new
reagent bottles is used. Refer to

on page 16.
If the problem continues, do a
