9.3.1 Cleaning the device

Before cleaning, switch off the device and pull the plug out.
Do not let liquid penetrate underneath the cover of the device.
To clean liquid from the device, use a lint-free cotton cloth. You can moisten the
cloth with water.
To clean outer surfaces of the device, it is recommended to dip a piece of cloth
into clean water and gently rub problematic areas.
For the cleaning of inner parts of the Pannoramic® Confocal RX use Ethanol.

9.3.2 Cleaning the objectives

During immersion scanning fluid may get to the stage, slide, tray, and the objectives. Before using
the „dry" objective always make sure to clean these areas at the following cases:
On Service panels when clicking Clean Microscope.
When switching to dry objective.
Upon clicking on the Auto forms. If there is a „dry profile" slide in the slide set,
then it will be skipped.
Whenever you select dry scanning after immersion scanning.
Every time it is necessary, the software instructs you to perform cleaning tasks,
providing you detailed steps in each of the information boxes.
For the cleaning of optical parts use Ethanol.

9.3.3 Cleaning the trays

NEVER clean the trays with Xylene because it might harm the plastic. We recommend applying
Isopropanol on a piece of lint-free cotton cloth and gently rub the surface instead. In case the tray
is damaged, use either order a new one, as inserting a deteriorated tray could lead into unsafe
loading of slides.
