10.2 RAS Information Collection

RAS information is an important source of information that is necessary when recovering
from an abnormal condition. When contacting the support desk to recover from an
abnormal condition, you may be asked to supply the event log or collect RAS information
from the Tool window.
To save the event log, select Start | Control Tool (common) | Event Viewer and then
select Save As from the File menu.
Examples of RAS information collected from the Tool window are: Fenix register values,
station diagnostic information, and network dual diagnostic counter. See Chapter 5 for
information concerning how to use the Tool window.
